About NeuroMovez

Hello, my name is Amaliya Kozlova, a current high schooler in the Philadelphia area. My goal is to spread awareness on the neuroscience behind the brain functions.

Neurology is extremely fascinating and includes an umbrella of subjects such as sleep, child development, and memory. By getting to know more about neurology, people can better their livelihood and know about the many disorders that affect 1 in 3 people all across the globe. I especially hope to impact the elderly communities that are highly vulnerable to neurological disorders and issues regarding memories. By creating NeuroMovez, we are making an opportunity for people to challenge their cognitive abilities with dance.

Studies have shown that dance is an affordable alternative to pharmacological interventions that can be used as complementary treatment for elderly adults with Alzheimer’s, mild cognitive impairment and dementia. In the future years of developing and growing, NeuroMovez is going to visit senior centers as well as homes to teach dance and positively affect people’s memories. Along on our journey we will post blogs and videos online to reach people across the world. At NeroMovez, we want to upkeep cherished memories with dance and spread happiness to others along with cognitive benefits.
